Since having my daughter three months ago, it’s been a struggle some days to change out of my pajamas, let alone put on makeup. Before having little Emma, I would occasionally go all out with my makeup routine. I’m talking about Smokey eyes, false lashes, lipstick, the works.
I loved getting all done up just for the hell of it. Putting a full face on made me feel good. It still does, even though I have less time or energy to do so 😊.
Nowadays, my makeup routine mainly consists of whatever is going to be fast. I still want to feel like my old self, but I also need to be able to manage my time wisely. I don’t always have the time it takes to get all done up anymore.
My five minute makeup routine has seriously been such a lifesaver. I actually like to change up which products I use to get the look I’m going for, but I’ve listed my absolute ride- or- die favs. Some of these products are discontinued so I linked the closest product still available. There’s seriously only a slight difference.
This is also assuming I’ve already done my whole skin care routine for the morning, which I’ll share in a later blog post 😉
This is a tinted hydrating gel cream with SPF 30. I absolutely love this cream and have already gone through three tubes of this stuff! This cream would definitely be good for dry skin because it’s a tinted moisturizer. This is perfect for those days when I want a little bit of coverage but not a full face of foundation. I just apply this with my fingers and I’m ready to go.
*Note* I will actually use this tinted moisturizer under my eyes without concealer. It still provides light coverage for when I’m in a hurry.
2. M.A.C Next To Nothing Pressed Powder
This is a super lightweight setting powder. This is definitely not meant for full coverage. I always use this powder to set foundation, or in this case, tinted moisturizer. I also trade off with using a translucent powder once in a while.

I have pretty light skin, so I always need to add a bit of color to my makeup routine. I use this bronzer all over my face and down my neck. I take a big powder brush and apply this product very lightly all over. I can always add more product if I need to.
Tip: I’ll also use a little bit of this bronzer as a quick application of eye shadow.
4. Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara
I have used many different kinds of mascaras, and this is by far my all time favorite. This is the mascara that I will always go back to. The curved wand and small bristles separate and lift my lashes. I don’t even use an eyelash curler. This product curls my lashes on its own. I will say this though; it does take a couple applications of this mascara to get the result that I want.

5. M.A.C Sheer Tone Shimmer Blush
I’m actually a really big fan of this blush in Peachy Keen. It’s the perfect pink for my skin tone. I don’t like really done up blush on the cheeks, so I’ll usually apply this blush very lightly.
This is seriously my five-minute makeup routine!! Remember, I’m trying to keep it as simple as possible while still looking put together lol. These products add color and beauty without needing to spend half an hour applying a full face of make-up.
I’ll do a future five-minute make-up routine using only drugstore beauty products, which I absolutely love, so stay tuned 😊
